Professional Refrigeration Services Limited (ProRef) is a Cambridge-based, owner-operated refrigeration and HVAC business supporting dairy farmers, local businesses and homeowners throughout Waikato. Led by a refrigeration engineer with over 11 years of hands-on industry experience, we focus on practical advice, reliable workmanship and long-term customer relationships.
Working alongside Professional Farm Services Limited (PFS), a separate business, we combine refrigeration expertise with dairy farm services and equipment knowledge. Together, we are developing secondary chilled-water milk-cooling packages to improve pre-cooling performance while retaining existing direct expansion (DX) milk vats where suitable. These packages are in development and have not been formally launched.

We assess, service and upgrade milk-cooling systems to help dairy farmers meet MPI and dairy company milk-cooling requirements. Recommendations are based on your farm’s equipment, water supply, milking demands and operating conditions.
Milk needs to reach the required cooling temperatures within the applicable time limits and remain at the required storage temperature until collection. Confirm the current requirements and any exceptions for your operation with MPI and your dairy company.
